Nico Brown

I am a Visual Arts major and Art History minor at Bowdoin College, specializing in acrylic painting with a strong foundation in classical oil techniques. My recent work was featured in In Between at Fort Hall Gallery, a two-person exhibition.

I co-manage a multi-artist studio, where I oversee daily operations, maintenance, and shared workflow while continuing to develop my own studio practice. I previously served as gallery manager at Fort Hall Gallery and worked as a studio assistant for John Bisbee.

Across these roles, I have developed a broad technical range in both traditional and digital production. I am advanced in the Adobe Creative Suite—including Lightroom and Photoshop for image work, Premiere Pro for video editing, and digital music production—and I work across acrylic painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, and general studio fabrication. My practice is rooted in hands-on making, problem-solving, and collaborative studio environments.

In 2024, I received the Richard P. Martel Jr. Memorial Prize for creative excellence in the visual arts.
